Pre Treatment Care
Lash and eyeliner
Remove all of your eye makeup before arriving at your appointment
If you wear contact lenses, consider removing them for your own comfort
Remove all lash extensions prior to your appointment. We do not provide removal services.
*Please note we are unable to perform your treatment if you have any infection or irritation in your eye or area around your eye.
Brows and Lips
Bleeding during the procedure reduces the amount of pigment absorbed.
It is important that medication which causes blood thinning is avoided for a minimum of ONE week prior to treatment.
However, please consult with your doctor before doing so.
Generally these medications include but not limited to:
Aspirin
Niacin
Fish/Krill oil
Ibuprofen (found in Advil and Nurofen).
Any heart related medications (please consult your doctor before doing so)
You will also have better results if you avoid any alcohol and caffeine 24 hours before your session.
Avoid any faux face tan at least two weeks prior to your appointment as it can change the colour of your healed tattoo.
Brows
Excessive exposure to sun should be avoided for 2 weeks prior and following your procedure due to the risk of skin exfoliation and for best colour matching.
Your appointment will be rescheduled and the deposit will be forfeited if you show up for your treatment with a new tan or sun burnt.
PLEASE NOTE:
If using prescription Roaccutane, you MUST wait a minimum of six to twelve months before considering undertaking a cosmetic tattoo procedure. The procedure cannot be performed whilst on Roaccutane.
Any facial injectables including Botox and Dermal fillers must be done at least 2 weeks for brows and 4 weeks for lips prior to tattooing. Browskii will not perform tattooing for anyone who had facial injectables done less than 2 weeks for brows and 4 weeks for lips.
Please avoid any brow waxing treatments one week prior to your Brow tattoo appointment. It is also advisable that you avoid getting any tinting on your brow hairs three weeks prior to your brow appointment.
Lips
If you suffer from cold sores easily, please take Famvir or Lysine tablets on the day of your procedure. Also ensure you use Zovirax for ONE week prior to and after your treatment.
If you have had cold sores but they are not visible you will still need to use Zovirax.
We also suggest the above method as a preventative measure even if you have NEVER had a cold sore. Sometimes you may carry the gene and it is dormant. Any trauma to the skin may trigger the onset.
Please apply lip balm daily to keep your lips from being dry and chapped which can affect the results.
Do exfoliate your lips every 2 days in the week leading up to the procedure.
Please ensure you drink at least 1 litre of water 2 hours prior to your procedure to keep lips at optimum hydration.
Post Treatment Care
Post treatment: Aftercare and what to expect.
Brows
Immediately after and in the first few days following the procedure, your new brows will appear dark and intense due to the skin healing.
Mild redness and swelling may be present for some but should subside within 2 days.
Some peeling and flaking will occur around the fourth day for a few days and it may look patchy as skin renewal takes place but it is important to leave your eyebrows alone.
Disturbing the peeling process may lift implanted pigment up prematurely causing lost of pigment.
After 7-10 days, when the flaking process is complete, your new brows will look light and soft at this stage. The pigment will continue to surface for the next 3 weeks as your skin continues to renew and heal. Final results can be expected at four weeks.
Please follow the strict aftercare listed below and use only the products given to you from Browskii for best results:
First day - Clean brows hourly for the first four hours post treatment. Apply grain sized amount of the aftercare cream to brows after each clean.
2nd to 7th day - Clean brows with sterile water and apply grain size amount of the aftercare cream to the treated area twice a day.
For the first seven days:
Avoid running water and soap from your hair to avoid infection during shower.
Avoid sauna, steam room and swimming.
Avoid excessive sweating however, exercise is allowed - swap to resistant workout rather than cardio if possible.
Always clean brows after any sweat session with water only.
Avoid makeup on treated area for one week.
Avoid touching and picking treated area during the healing phase.
Always use a new cotton bud to clean and cream your brows
Lips
Immediately after, and for the first few days following your procedure, your lips will appear like you have deep lip rouge on and may be slightly swollen.
Some peeling and flaking will occur around the fourth day for a few days and it may look patchy as skin renewal takes place but it is important to leave your lips alone.
Disturbing the peeling process may lift implanted pigment up prematurely causing lost of pigment.

Avoid drinking and eating anything hot and spicy
Avoid sauna, steam room and swimming.
Avoid sipping any drinks directly from cup. Make sure to use a straw if possible.
Always clean lips after each meal.
Avoid makeup on treated area for one week.
Avoid touching and picking treated area during the healing phase.
Always use a new cotton bud/pad to clean and cream your lips.
Continue using Zovirax for the seven days.
Eyeliner
Immediately after your procedure, your eyelids will appear slightly puffy and may feel heavy or sleepy. This should subside the next day.
Some peeling and flaking may occur around the fourth day for a few days but it is important to leave your eyes alone.
Please follow the strict aftercare listed below and use only the products given to you from Browskii for best results:
Clean eyeliner with dampen cotton tips using gentle circular movements to clean eyes off any sleep and dirt.
For the first seven days:
Avoid sauna, steam room and swimming.
Avoid rubbing or scratching your eyes. Use dampen cotton tips to relieve any itch with gentle circular motion.
Avoid makeup (including mascara) on treated area for one week.
Avoid touching and picking treated area during the healing phase.
Always use a new cotton bud/pad to clean your eyes.
Avoid using contact lens for the two days.
Lashes
Avoid rubbing your eyes
Keep lashes dry for 24 hours
Avoid side-sleeping as this will change your lash position
Avoid any steam and sauna room, even the steam during cooking!
Avoid applying any mascara on lashes for 24 hours
